Met millionaire fighter pilot and emigrated to outer Mongolia. Left him for impoverished gypsy and nomadic lifestyle in deepest Tanzania. Took up camel racing and became world champion. Became embroiled with Nigerian mafia and escaped to UK in disguise as French supermodel. Am now working undercover living pretend marketing consultant lifestyle in remote Cambridgeshire village with menagerie of wild panthers.

Oops, that's the life I should have had. The reality is only slightly different, involving marginally less adventure and a bit more growing vegetablës, trying to work out how to set up a wireles router, dating hopelessly unsuitablë men and learning (badly) to play the piano.

But nevertheless, life is pretty good. Lots of things make me smile: sunshine on frost, buttery toast, singing at the top of my voice while driving, Scottish hills, pinot grigio, old churches, boats, artichokes, the great outdoors, virgin snow, Jack Russells, curtain calls, delphiniums, big hugs and a warm bed.

And only a few things make me frown: caravans, unhelpful error messages, people who walk too slowly, narrow-mindedness, bad grammar, and when your best mate drunkenly puts your phone in a pot of water and you lose all your contacts. That was a tough one to smile through
