Hi,<br><br>I'm a rather old-fashioned sort of person: I believe in loyalty, courtesy, honesty, treating other people as I would like to be treated. I am not into lying (you always get found out!) or "mind games", I say what I mean (but tactfully!). Have a good sense of humour, and this is a "must" for any prospective lady friend. Am normally a pretty positive sort of person - life's too short to always be looking back at past problems. Also very easy-going and relaxed with most things in life (there are a few that wind me up, remind me to tell you about them some time...).<br><br>My interests are many and varied, and include photography, running a classic car, history, and reading. I enjoy the coun tryside and walking, and visiting 'places of historic interest', but am not a 'city person' apart from liking to visit interesting old buildings and museums. Although I have done a little travelling abroad - and still have many places that I would like to visit - I very much enjoy the UK. Sitting on a beach somewhëre, or "activity holidays", are not my idea of fun. Musically, my interests are principally Classical. Not much into TV, principally just keep up with the news and enjoy some documentaries. Prefer good conversation to watching the box!<br><br>If you find this list of interests a little daunting and feel that I will have little time for you (or expect you to lug the camera gear around for me!) then nothing could be further from the truth. Life is for living, two people sharing interests are better than one going their own way, and I am looking for a companion in the short term (and hopefully wonderful lady to share the rest of my life with in the long term). So long as we have a little time of our own to 'do our own thing' that does not figure on the other's list then I will be happy with that.<br><br>After that, what sort of lass am I looking for? A special friend: someone to share life with, have some interests in common, perhaps expand each others' hobbies, do some travelling with, and if romance were to follow this would indeed be 'the icing on the cake'.<br><br>I am not generally a ‘sporty’ person, and indeed specifically loathe football in particular. Also not into 'clubs/clubbing' or rowdy and untuneful pop music; I prefer a quieter lifestyle. So if you are a football fanatic, love to attend clubs, or have the radio blaring out modern 'pop' music at all times, then we'd probably not be compatible.
